Bloody Good!

Just caught these plump beauties at the neighbour’s backyard garden. Wonder what he’s upto. But we can only think of stirring up a punchy Bloody Mary to enjoy the lovely Bangalore weather. 

Here’s a quick two minute recipe:

4-5 cubes of ice

30 ml vodka

Juice of 1/2 a lemon

6 dashes of Worcestershire sauce

3 dashes of Tobasco sauce

150 ml tomato juice

A pinch of salt and pepper


1. Combine tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce in a cocktail mixer. Taste and adjust seasoning.

2. Place the ice cubes in a tall glass. Pour the vodka and finish with the above mixture. Stir and serve.

  1. What about the salted rim??? I like the taste of the salt on the rim! I insist on the salt on the rim! I must have the salt on the rim! Can you please salt the rim of my glass? Just rub a cut lime over rim gently squeezing as you go and place glass upside down in a dish of salt.. please?

    And serve with chilled beer chasers…
